Information regarding customs charges

Now that the UK has left the EU, orders from EU customers are now considered imports/exports and can therefore be charged additional duties by your country's customs. These are VAT (import sales tax) and also import duty.

We had not previously charged VAT ourselves on most of our items as children's clothing is exempt from VAT in the UK. However, in many EU countries this exemption does not apply and your country's customs will charge the appropriate rate on import. However, if you are liable for VAT, you should be able to deduct this again for tax purposes. If in doubt, please consult your tax advisor.

EU import duty is charged on all products that are not manufactured in the UK (this applies to almost all of our items). The EU import duty depends on the items and, as things stand, can be up to 12% on our products. This is not tax deductible, but is only payable if the order amount for the items (excluding shipping) exceeds 150 Euros.

For clarification: the possible customs costs are not included in our purchase price, but will be invoiced additionally by your customs office.
